Bridge of the Gods Mural Restoration

Painted on the support column for the bridge by Larry Kangas in 2001, the mural of the legendary bridge of the gods needs restoration. Our extreme weather in Cascade Locks and a handful of lonely people have degraded the artist’s work.

We’re excited muralist David Oliver accepted our offer to restore the mural to its original glory in 2027. Because of the size of the mural and the potential for delays due to weather, the project will stretch over months and comes at a cost of $150,000 to clean, scrape, and carefully repaint the mural exactly matching the original, preserving the art for generations.
