THE OCTOBER 2026 BRIDGE OF THE GODS DOWNTOWN CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Creating A Month-Long, Community-Wide Celebration Event With High-Value Tourist Appeal

The October 2026 100th anniversary of the opening of the Bridge of the Gods creates a unique opportunity for the central Gorge community to present a variety of events and activities to attract visitors as well as residents to the area from all over the Oregon/Washington region.

Main Street Cascade Locks is asking local businesses to develop a special exhibit, display, event, activity or menu/merchandise offering that we can package and collectively promote to establish Cascade Locks as THE place to go to celebrate the bridge centennial this October.

Our goal is to pack our downtown with as many bridge-related things for visitors to see and do as possible. We’ll list all of them in a downtown centennial celebration visitors guide, include a map of locations, and provide space for visitors to collect stamps that can be redeemed for one the of several special souvenir rewards we’ll be handing out all month long.

Need help coming up with something to do? Let us know. Looking for a place to do something? We can help. The most important thing is that you come up with something and commit to doing it by submitting the details to us here … because the more things we have promote, the more visitors we’ll get and more time (and money) they’ll spend with us while they’re here.
